🚀 Engineering Manager (HFT, FinTech) — Remote / Relocation
We’re looking for a Team Manager to lead a high-impact team working on a latency-critical trading infrastructure connecting to global stock exchanges.
This role is ideal for someone who has already transitioned from hands-on engineering into full-scale people management and is excited about building, scaling, and leading strong engineering teams.
🧠About the team
You’ll be joining a global quantitative trading company with a strong engineering culture and a fully self-funded model.
200+ engineers, quants, and researchers
Proprietary trading systems across traditional & crypto markets
No external investors — founders trade with their own capital
Strong C++ teams, distributed systems, and FPGA
This is one of the company’s core directions, with a long-term plan to scale the team significantly.
🎯 What you’ll be doing
This is primarily a people leadership role (80–90%), with limited hands-on technical involvement.
- Leadership & stakeholder management:
Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders and other teams
Align expectations, priorities, and delivery timelines
Drive cross-team collaboration and represent your team internally
- People management:
Hire, onboard, and grow a high-performing team
Run 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development plans
Manage team capacity and ensure sustainable delivery
Handle performance challenges and support team health
- Technical oversight (light involvement) & tech meditation:
Participating in tech discussions and resolve blockers
✅ What we’re looking for
3–5+ years of engineering management experience
Experience managing teams of 10+ engineers
Strong background in people management (hiring, performance reviews, growth)
Proven ability to work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Solid technical foundation (C++ is a big plus, but other backend systems background fits well)
Understanding of Linux systems and distributed architectures
English (B2+)
âž• Nice to have

🚀 Why this role?
Lead a business-critical, latency-sensitive system
High level of ownership and visibility (reporting to CEO)
Opportunity to build and scale a team, not just manage it
Work with a strong, international engineering team
Remote-first role
